CES2011: Lexmark Genesis: the industry’s first inkjet AIO printer to deliver speed, style and SmartSolutions

So it’s a printer, it’s an all-in-one printer, but still just a printer, how excited can I get about a printer?! The Lexmark Genesis targets professionals, small business and home office customers who are looking for an AIO printer that has innovative technology, is highly productive and is also bold and stylish. Built on the same inkjet platform of Lexmark’s current line of robust printers designed for today’s Web-connected workplace, Lexmark Genesis has been recognized as an International CES Innovations 2011 Design and Engineering Awards Honoree.

"The Lexmark Genesis not only looks, but acts like no other AIO printer on the market today," said Marty Canning, Lexmark executive vice president and president, imaging solutions and services. "Busy professionals will immediately experience time-savings with unmatched speed when scanning content to the cloud, instant preview to eliminate waste, and one touch applications that users have come to expect with their technology today. These innovative features, packaged in a sleek new design, make Genesis a must have."

Through its built-in innovative Flash Scan camera technology, which boasts a 10-megapixel imaging sensor, the Lexmark Genesis delivers blazing scanning speeds that enable the AIO printer to transfer a page from "document to digital" in as few as three seconds(1).

In addition, Lexmark Genesis comes equipped with sophisticated features and functionality, including the 4.3-inch capacitive color touch screen that is also available on Lexmark’s other award-winning AIOs, the Platinum, Pinnacle and Interact. This touch screen serves as the gateway to Web-connected technology(2) allowing busy professionals to access Lexmark’s SmartSolutions, including well-known, cloud-based applications such as Evernote and Box.net, or the Twitter and Facebook SmartSolutions that enable users to scroll through and search their Twitter feeds as well as view their Facebook wall and print photos right from the device.

The Lexmark Genesis also features the company’s Vizix print technology, which uses separate ink cartridges to enable greater speed and produces high quality print output at an economical replacement cost for customers.

Other key features include Wireless-N (IEEE 802.11n) for expanded coverage, built-in two-sided printing, and 1-year warranty with lifetime phone support(3).
