PopCap Launches Zuma’s Revenge! — Adventure

PopCap Games, the leading developer and publisher of casual games, today announced that Zuma’s Revenge!(TM) — Adventure, a single mode version of the recently-launched sequel to the ball-blasting classic, is now available on leading game portals with a suggested retail price of US$9.95. The highly anticipated sequel to the original hit game that has sold 17 million copies worldwide, Zuma’s Revenge! — Adventure is available for the PC via Web download from MSN Games, Yahoo Games, RealArcade, GameHouse, iWin.com, STEAM, AOL, and pogo.com. The single mode edition includes all the eye-popping imagery, features and fast-paced fun of the main "Adventure" mode from Zuma’s Revenge! but does not include the premium version’s other modes.

"Adventure mode is the core of Zuma’s Revenge!, and consumers on tight gaming budgets will have hours of fun with this infinitely replayable, never-the-same-game-twice edition at half the cost of the premium version," said Dennis Ryan, EVP of Global Business Development. "More avid gamers may prefer the advanced challenges and additional modes in the premium version of Zuma’s Revenge! but this Adventure mode edition will enable any and all customers to enjoy this tremendous sequel to one of the all-time classics."

In Zuma the player takes the role of a fearless ball-shooting frog, exploring ancient temples and ruins. By firing colored spheres into an advancing chain of balls to make matches of three or more, the frog blasts his way through a series of arcade challenges. The sequel brings the player to an all-new setting, the Polynesian paradise ruled by Zhaka Mu, and ups the ante with nearly triple the screen resolution of the original game, cool 3-D particle effects, and support for widescreen monitors. Further, Zuma’s Revenge!(TM) — Adventure takes the relatively basic point-and-click input of the original Zuma up several notches, incorporating horizontal and vertical "sliding" as well as the ability to hop from one lily pad to another to achieve greater flexibility and hit hard-to-reach areas of the screen. All-new tiki boss enemies provide a climactic ending to each major stage of the game and introduce various new forms of attack and defense that must be used to succeed in the game.

Features in Zuma's Revenge! -- Adventure include:
  -- More than 60 all-new levels
-- Six mini-game Boss Battles that introduce explosive new attacks and
      wily defenses
-- Three all-new power-up effects: Lightning, Laser, and Tri-Shot (plus
all the power-ups from the original Zuma)
-- New methods of movement like lily-pad hopping, slide-aiming, and more

-- Amazing high definition (1920 x 1200) graphics and dazzling effects
that bring Zuma into the modern world of gaming
