Samsung GALAXY S II Hits 10 Million in Global Sales

I love my Samsung Galaxy S Captivate, it’s one of the nicest phones I’ve ever owned, reviewed or used. Now comes the Galaxy S II, a phone that I think I need to get, but sadly I’m on AT&T which means I have to wait to get it, and I’m not due for a new phone on contract for a while which means I have to pay full price basically I think. Of course being on AT&T also means we’ll be behind with updates, the rollout for Froyo on the Captivate was ridiculous. I think it might be better to just get the unlocked version and not have to deal with AT&T at all in terms of updates, but that means paying a nice chunk of change out of pocket. Is it worth it? I would have to say maybe from my experience with the Captivate, it’s a great phone and I think the Galaxy S II will just be that much better overall. I have to remember to hit up Samsung to send me one out for review soon…

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd, a global leader in digital media and digital convergence technologies, today announced that the Samsung GALAXY S II (Model: GT-I9100) has achieved 10 million global channel sales, doubling from five million in just eight weeks.

The GALAXY S II is Samsung’s flagship smartphone device – a beautifully thin (8.49mm) and lightweight dual-core smartphone that combines an unmatched Super AMOLED Plus viewing experience with powerful performance, all on Android, the world’s fastest-growing mobile operating system.
