Satechi Announces Edge Wireless Gaming Mouse

When I think of Satechi I think of products related to mobile stuff like speakers and stands but they’ve just announced a nice looking wireless gaming mouse called the Edge and it has features found in most other gaming mice on the market today. The Edge has up to 4000 dpi along with an ergonomic design and it even changes colors. I know colors isn’t something big, but I like that ability, to color is tied to the dpi level though as it acts as a visual indicator. The price of the Edge is only $19.95 so yes it’s a gaming mouse but not priced as you’d expect.

The Satechi Edge Wireless Gaming Mouse, available now, is a quick and efficient mouse ideal for high-speed gaming as well as casual browsing. Equipped with seven high-function buttons, the mouse gives gamers an advantage over the competition and the ability to amplify their gaming to the next level.

The Edge Wireless Gaming Mouse features a “Gaming Mode,” which allows users to press the “Turbo Button” to double-click with just one keystroke, eliminating the need to literally double-click. This saves gamers valuable seconds, which could mean the difference between a win and a loss. For added versatility, the mouse also has a “Video Control Mode” when not used for gaming. When in this mode, the functions switch into play/pause, fast forward/backtrack and clear screen buttons with a single click. While in this mode, the scroll wheel also adjusts the volume.

The Satechi Edge Wireless Gaming Mouse gives gamers the freedom to enhance the mouse’s precision and speed with just one single touch, adjusting the DPI between 800, 1600, 2400 or 4000 DPI. The mouse is built with 250Hz or 500Hz of return rate on the speed of transmission between the computer and the mouse for instant response.

Aside from the mouse’s optimized usability, it is also designed with the gamer’s maximum comfort in mind. The Edge Wireless Gaming Mouse is built with a grooved grip, resulting in smooth and precise control with minimal mouse movement required. It also features naturally curved grooves for fingers and thumb to easily and comfortably control the mouse, and thus, reduce strain.

Designed with Satechi’s intentions to individualize accessories and peripherals to meet its user’s needs and liking, the mouse illuminates one of four different LED colors depending on the DPI selected – red, green, purple or blue – which can be easily turned off or on.

The Edge Wireless Gaming Mouse runs on two AA batteries and features a power-saving chip, which automatically transitions it into sleep mode after five minutes without use in order to maximize battery life. This allows gamers to use the mouse for up to 36 months without having to change the batteries.

The Edge Wireless Gaming Mouse is compatible with both PC and Mac and is available now for an introductory price of $19.99 at Satechi.net and Amazon.com.
