The Review

Let’s start with a video unboxing and product tour and then move on:

The packaging for the Ohuhu camping cookware kit is fine, the box is colorful with pictures on it and everything is packed well in a drawstring bag.

The description does say eight pieces but technically it’s nine I think if you include the carrying bag, at least I do as the bag is handy and useful.

ohuhucook5

Two small clear plastic bowels are included for serving or eating out of . The bowels are made of plastic or polypropylene and are recyclable.

ohuhucook6

Ohuhu even includes a ladle with a collapsible handle for you to serve your stew with.

ohuhucook7 ohuhucook8

The wooden spoon is about 5.25” long and seems made well enough, it will get the job done to stir your food and it’s taped to be used like a spatula too.

Ohuhu includes a small loofa so you can clean everything when you’re done, a nice touch, something I would have never thought to include in a kit like this.

The frying pan is about 6.25” in diameter and it’s about 1.25” deep. On the side are the handles that fold back on the pan for storage. The handle, when open, have teeth on the insides of both of them so when you squeeze they lock together and don’t move make the handle stable for use. The pan is sturdy and it barely bends when I really try to bend it, overall it’s fine and should last a long time I would think.

The pot is slightly less than six inches in diameter and it’s about three inches deep and comes with a nice lid. The handles are the same as those on the pan, they collapse and lock into place when in use. The lid does have a very small handle on it that sites very close the lid and I was wondering how it would work as grabbing it will give you a good chance to get burned. The wooden spoon is beveled flat on the end to be used like a spatula if need be but it also fits perfectly under the lip of the lid so you can take it off easily without getting burned.

The way this kit ships isn’t the same way you’ll pack it back up for storage or traveling. The bowels, ladle, loofa and wooden spoon fit fine inside of the pot and then the pot sits in the pan and you can put the lid on the pot to keep things clean and then everything fits into the drawstring bag.

ohuhucook17 ohuhucook18

The drawstring bag is mesh and that’s so air can get to the things inside after you clean it. You’re out camping and chances are you’re not going to completely dry everything when you’re done cleaning it. The mesh bag allows air in to help it dry and so funky things don’t grow on your cookware.

One thing to note is that the drawstring bag isn’t the best, it already ripped slightly and I’m hoping I’ll be able to sew it possibly to fix it.

Conclusion

The Ohuhu cookware kit would be great to take with you camping or hiking as it’s lightweight and portable but yet well made overall. The kit includes most everything you need to prepare a meal for yourself and someone else and even includes a loofa to clean everything up when you’re done.

The pot and pan are well made and the handles are designed well and function great

All in all I like this kit but sadly the drawstring bag already ripped a bit and needs to be mended. I would have liked if they included a better quality and stronger carrying bag.

Pros:
+Pot, pan and accessories are well made
+Includes most everything you need for dinner
+Portable and lightweight

Cons:
-Drawstring bag already ripped
