Wow, this is an odd more by Microsoft. The Verge is reporting that the new Xbox One will NOT be compatible with the Xbox 360 games, and that means discs and downloadable games. I don’t understand why they would do this, they have millions of customers with and Xbox 360 that they’re essentially abandoning in hopes that they’ll all go and buy the Xbox One. that makes no sense to me to do that at all, why would you just drop all of the customers?!

I can understand not having it in disc form, but why not downloads?   I read the PS4 won’t be able to read the PS3 discs, but you’ll still be able to get the games eventually in downloadable format so it’s not totally abandoned.

It seems to me that they just want to get rid of the Xbox 360 altogether.  I know a good chunk of Xbox 360 current users won’t be able to afford the Xbox One when it comes out, many owners waited until the price dropped.

Also what about those huge collections of games that people have for their Xbox 360?

Supposedly they’ll be selling the Xbox 360 side-by-side with the Xbox One, so it will sort of be in direct competition with one another.

I don’t think this is a good move at all on the part of Microsoft…..
