Let’s start with a video unboxing:
The packaging is a nice looking box with a window on the front showing the shutter itself. When you open the box you’ll find the shutter device in a plastic tray with the accessories under it. Included in the box it an extra battery, user guide, wrist strap and a cloth drawstring bag.
The remote control shutter is very small with a hole in it for the strap. On the front is a large button which is the shutter button basically. It’s all made of plastic and it’s small at about 2x1x.3 inches in dimensions and it’s very lightweight but it seems well made for what it is and what it needs to do.
On the side is the power button along with an LED that blinks blue for Bluetooth.
I tested the Gadgin remote control shutter with my Samsung Galaxy S6 Android phone and it worked without installing any additional apps or software.
There is no lag between pressing the button and the picture being taken, at least none that really matters, it’s like a 1/2 second maybe.
The Gadgin Bluetooth shutter is a very simple product but it’s one that works well.
I like the fact that it works with my Galaxy S6 without having to install any additional software.
According to the specs the battery should last up to a year, with using it three times per day, I can’t test that claim but they do include a second battery for you so even it lasts for six months I’d be happy.
Gadgin includes a wrist strap and a drawstring carry bag.
Overall the Gadgin shutter is a good product, it works as it should, it’s small and portable.
