You can just plug it in and let it charge but while it’s charging you can use one or both of the two USB ports to charge your devices while on the go. The Review
Let’s start with a video unboxing:
The box is nice looking with a big picture of the battery pack on the front and some basic specs listed on the back. Inside you’ll find the battery wrapped in a soft plastic for protection and then there’s a user guide and thank you care included.
The power bank is black and silver in color with a single button on the top for power and a small LED next to it. The led lights up red for charging and green for power. The charger is about 5.25 inches long and about 1.25 inches at its widest point towards the back near the power button. The battery inside is 2800Mah in capacity and it’s big in size, I have smaller portable packs that are larger in capacity that this is. Part of the size is the car adapter and whatever circuitry is is inside of course, but it just seems big for such a small capacity.
On the back end you’ll find two USB ports that are colored red, you can charge two things at the same time if you wanted to.
I charged the battery pack in my car and charged my phone at the same time and it seemed to work just like any other car charger I have. You need to charge the battery of course in your car before you can use it and that’s fine as you just plug it in while you’re driving and it will charge as you’re on the go.
I tested the battery pack and it worked fine with my Samsung Galaxy S6 phone. I measured it and it was only producing about 3 watts at about .6 amps. Yes it’s not a fast charger at all, but it will work in an emergency to power your devices for sure. The battery is only 2800mAh in capacity and the Galaxy S6 has a 2550mAh battery so I could charge it fully at least once with the battery pack.
Conclusion
The battery charger combination is a neat product in my opinion, I’ve never seen anything like it before and I think it can be very useful.
It does have some small issues though, like it’s slow to charge and it’s rather large for the small capacity of the battery.
Yes it can be useful though, it can be great in an emergency, use it to charger your phone while on the go and leave it in your car so you then have a emergency battery supply.
The charger does seem well made overall and for what it is it’s not a bad product overall.
