I’ve been reviewing many Bluetooth speakers so I’ve got a lot of experience with them so it think I know what’s good and what isn’t. I do need to actually have them in hand and test them though but with a name like JBL, which is now, Harmon, one would think the product coming from them would be pretty good right? JBL has just announced the Clip which is an ultra compact Bluetooth speaker and speakerphone that is priced reasonably at $49.95. It runs Bluetooth 4.0 but it also a 3.5mm cable and it offers up to 5 hours of play time.
HARMAN International Industries, Incorporated, introduces JBL Clip, the ultra-portable rechargeable teleconferencing speaker with integrated carabiner.
"We found such great possibilities with ultra-compact speaker designs, that we ended up creating a full-bodied sound system with wireless conferencing that you can even use hands-free. The clue is in the name" said Michael Mauser, president, Lifestyle Division, HARMAN.
Following in the pioneering footsteps of the JBL Micro Series – and then taking things up a notch – the JBL Clip’s 1.5" driver delivers a stunning balance of loudness and bass performance, with a 160 Hz to 20 kHz frequency range. Its built-in rechargeable battery lets you play for 5 hours of potent, hassle-free listening. Not only is JBL Clip the perfect plug-and-play companion for your smartphone or miniature tablet with its 3.5 mm cable, it also features premium Bluetooth® 4.0 technology that makes it easy to set up and stream wirelessly from any tablet or smartphone.
But along with its forceful sound and all-around connectivity, the JBL Clip has other surprises up its sleeve. First, there’s the reason they call it the "Clip." This JBL ultra-portable features a carabiner that lets you hook it onto pretty much anything: your shirt, your backpack—or even the pants pocket of your jeans. The rugged construction resists wear-and-tear while moving quickly: the portable speaker’s protected by a durable double injection housing that allows it to land safely and softly even when you toss it into your backpack. It’s audio that’s truly up for anything and everything, including socializing with friends: the JBL Clip comes with JBL’s SoundClear® Echo Cancellation Speakerphone System so users can enjoy clear, noise-free, hands-free wireless phone conferencing while on the go. And, while on the go, Clip’s backlit controls make it easy to use.
