The second Android offering from AT&T will be the HTC Aria, and it’s rather underwhelming. The first is the BackFlip with it’s 538Mhz CPU, now we have the Aria with a 600Mhz CPU ? The BackFlip is a low end offering, and supposedly the Aria is more middle of the road, but with that processer I can’t see how it’s going to be any different in terms of performance.. It’s a little phone with a 3.2” HVGA screen running Android 2.1, it also has a 5mp camera.. Price will be $129.99 after 4100 mail-in rebate on 2yr plan with data. All I can say is that I’m truly disappointed with what AT&T is offering for phones these days..
"HTC Aria is the first of several smartphones in our Android portfolio to run the 2.1 platform," said Jeff Bradley, senior vice president, Devices, AT&T Mobility and Consumer Markets. "When you combine the nation’s fastest 3G network, and access to the nation’s largest Wi-Fi network, HTC Aria will be one of the best Android smartphones available."
