Would you? I wouldn’t. Hammacher Schlemmer is betting you will though, and it will cost you $149.95 to wear one. It’s a watch that shows photos of who’s calling you. It’s Bluetooth as you might expect, and it has an alert to let you know if you leave your phone behind.
Continuing its 163-year history of offering the Best, the Only and the Unexpected, Hammacher Schlemmer introduces The Caller ID Photo Watch, a timepiece that displays a picture of the person who is calling a paired mobile phone.
The watch’s 1 1/2" color LCD panel displays any photo that has been assigned to an incoming phone number, allowing you to quickly determine the identity of a caller.
Contact information is transmitted from a cell phone to the watch via Bluetooth, eliminating the need to wear cords, and up to 120 photos can be downloaded to the watch from a computer.
The watch can also display traditional incoming call information and when not providing caller IDs, the watch displays the current time.
The watch also provides an alert when it passes beyond the phone’s range (about 30′), making you aware when the cell phone has been left behind. The included USB cable charges the watch’s battery and transfers the photos.
The Caller ID Photo Watch is available from Hammacher Schlemmer for $149.95. For more information about this product, please visit http://www.hammacher.com/Product/81397
