Keyboard, keyboard and more keyboards, they come in all shapes and sizes and interfaces and Bluetooth ones have become more and more useful as tablets become more popular. Tablets are great and all but I prefer mouse and keyboard myself for when I’m going to be using it for an extended period of time. Today for review I’ve got the 1Byone wireless Bluetooth rechargeable keyboard that has a multi touchpad built into it. The keyboard is thin and well made overall and it features plenty of function buttons for multimedia and office. The keyboard is rechargeable over USB so no need to worry about batteries and it should last up to 90 hours with continuous use on a single charge. Read on to learn more…

The Review
Let’s start with a video unboxing and then move on from there:
The keyboard comes packaged well in a brown box with the 1byone logo on it and inside you’ll find the keyboard wrapped in plastic for protection. Once you get everything unpacked you’ll find a USB cable for charging, user guide, a bag of rubber feet that can be used on the bottom of the keyboard if you want to.
The keyboard is about 10.25 inches wide and about 6.75 inches tall and less than 1/4 inch thick. The keys remind me of a laptop keyboard style and they are clicky and very springy.
On the bottom right corner is the power switch along with Bluetooth and power LEDs. On the right side is the microUSB port for charging the built-in 500mAh battery that should last up to 90 hours of continuous use or up to four month in standby mode.
Across the top of the keyboard you’ll find numerous special keys for multimedia, browser, and office functions. The keyboard also has a blue Fn for function key for Bluetooth mode, and page up/down and home and end keys.
The bottom of the keyboard is just plain black but you can install the rubber feet that came in the box on the side if you want to. The keyboard is semi-flexible but overall it seems well made, the bottom is metal actually.
For testing I used the keyboard with my Windows 10 and Android Tablets and my PS3 as well.
It worked perfectly fine with the Windows tablet, turned Bluetooth on and it was seen and it paired the first try, no issues there. The cursor was there on the screen and it worked fine to control Windows. I could use the right and left click buttons and the touchpad and everything seemed to work as well. I had no problems with the keyboard going to sleep when I wasn’t using it.
The Android tablet took a few more tries to get it to work but it did eventually, it just had a bit of trouble pairing for me. The cursor appeared on the screen and I could use the touchpad and keyboard with the tablet with no issues.
The PS3 saw the keyboard and I paired it the first try, no issues there. I could use the touchpad to navigate the PS3 screens and I could select things as well with it.
Conclusion
For my uses the 1Byone Bluetooth keyboard works very well, it seems well made and it’s inexpensive I think.
As far as battery life it seems good enough for me, I couldn’t exactly test the four month standby period but I’ve used it for many hours with no issues.
As of now I’ve found no issues with this keyboard really except for using it with Android and the pairing issue I had with it. It wouldn’t pair the first few times I tried but when it did it was fine, so not sure what was going on there at all.
+Thin and lightweight but well made
+Inexpensive
+Rechargeable with long battery life
+Simple to use for the most part
+Multimedia and office keys built-in
Cons:
-Android pairing was a problem but it worked eventually
