Emergencies can happen and I think it’s safe to be prepared personally. There are plenty of choices when it comes to breaking car glass in an emergency and a hammer is just one of them, but that’s what I have for review today. There are two glass breaker and seatbelt cutters emergency hammers from a company called Rohomii. The hammers should work fine, they’re small and portable and even come with a mount. Read on to learn more…
Specifications and Features
The hammer comes with a mounting bracket that you can attach somewhere in your car as it has holes on the back for mounting purposes. The hammer just clips into the bracket and can fairly easily be pulled out in case of an emergency.
The hammer is just under 7 inches long and about 2.5 inches at the head of widest point. The hammer is lightweight, except for the head which is the heaviest part, it’s more than heavy enough to break glass.
The head of the hammer is the glass breaker, it’s essentially pointed metal on both ends. The small point allows it to break safety glass like that found in cars.
On the end is the seatbelt cutter, it’s essentially a blade down inside of the hammer handle. It is fairy sharp from what I can tell, I could cut paper with it, so it should cut a seatbelt just fine I would think.
Conclusion
I very much like the fact that it comes in a two pack as I have a car and so does my wife so there is one for each vehicle.
The price is under $11 for two of them and I think that’s just a great deal.
The included mount is fine, but I’m not sure about screwing it somewhere in my vehicle, but it works.
It also includes the cellphone mount for your car which I have no use for but I’m sure other people will like it very much as they seem popular.
The hammer should be fine to do what they’re supposed to do, break glass and cut a seatbelt in an emergency. You could even use the hammer as a defensive weapon as the points of the hammer are very sharp and I could see them causing a bit of damage or at least a lot of pain.
Pros:
+Very inexpensive for 2 pack
+Hammers seem well made and should work fine
+Includes bonus cellphone holder
+Includes mount for hammer
Cons:
-None really
