I hate getting the mail anymore, all I ever seem to get is bills that I cannot pay, it’s just no fun. If you’re like me and don’t get anything cool in the mail then you might be interested in Geek Fuel. What’s Geek Fuel you might ask, well it’s a mystery box delivery service I guess you could call it, but I’s full of stuff that us geeks can appreciate. It’s not just for geeks and nerds though, if you like toys and games and t-shirts and things related to all that then you’ll like it too. Geeks Fuel was successfully funded on Kickstarter and they’re ready to go I guess you could say with their monthly mystery boxes that start at about $24 per month for a box of cool stuff to be delivered to your door for a single month. You can get subscriptions for three month, or six months or even a year and the price drops to a little less than $20 per month for a year for example. PR and some pics below for you to learn more…
Geek Fuel, a monthly mystery box filled with exclusive games, toys, gear, and all things epic, was successfully funded on Kickstarter – surpassing its goals by 135%.
The subscription box service launched its crowd-funding campaign in October in order to off-set some of its startup costs as well as build a core community from the ground up. Since not all Kickstarter campaigns achieve their goal, Geek Fuel is proud of this success, particularly as they have yet to release any information on the items inside the first of many mystery boxes.
“We have received a lot of interest in our boxes from the Kickstarter campaign, with many inquiring about the items that will be in the box. It has been an interesting balance in responding as we aim to keep these boxes a mystery, thus creating an element of surprise when the boxes arrive at people’s homes,” said Geek Fuel co-founder, Chaz Gray.
The company is using a portion of the funds to secure emerging artists who are interested in having a wider distribution reach. Gray has roots deeply seated in the Geek community, and his connection to the culture and lifestyle is what gave him the inspiration and drive to develop Geek Fuel. Now, Geek Fuel has the springboard to continue with production and release its first round of boxes to consumers in December.
“We have been overwhelmed by the support and feedback from backers, family, friends, and the Geek community. The Geek Fuel team and I want to thank all of our supporters who have helped to make our concept a reality,” noted Gray.
Geek Fuel offers several different subscription plans including 1-month, 3-month, 6-month and annual subscription options. Monthly box prices start at $13.90 (+ $6 S/H) per month depending on the plan selected.
With the successful completion of the Kickstarter campaign, the Geek Fuel website is live and is already gaining additional subscribers. For more information about Geek Fuel, visit:
