The headphones have built-in multimedia controls and they’re very well made and comfortable to wear for long periods of time. The Review
Let’s start with a video unboxing and then move on:
The m05 headphones come packaged in a box covered in plastic for shipping and the box has plenty of information on it and pictures of the headphones themselves. Inside you’ll find the headphones in a plastic tray for protection and under the tray is a assortment of accessories.
Once you get everything unpacked you’ll find the headphones, mesh style drawstring carrying bag, user guide, microUSB cable for charging and a double ended 3.5mm audio cable so you can use the headphones without Bluetooth.
The headphones are black in color and have a nicely padded and soft headband on the top for comfort.
The headphones have carbon fiber pattern on the outside of the earpieces along with the Ausdom logo. The earpieces can swivel allowing them to lie flat and to better adjust to your head. Like any other headphones these can be adjusted by sliding them up and down from the headband. The earpieces can also tilt inwards for a better fit. The earpieces are marked ‘R’ and ‘L’ for right and left so you know which is which.
On the inside of the earpieces you’ll find very soft leather-like pads for your ears. I’m not sure if they’re leather or not as it doesn’t say but they’re very very soft and comfortable.
The left earpiece has controls for power and volume along with the microphone and 3.5mm audio jack, there’s also what looks like a tiny hole next to the microphone which is the LED to indicate charging and Bluetooth.
The right earpiece is where you’ll find multimedia controls for play/pause and skipping track forward and back along with the microUSB port for charging which has a rubber cover over it to keep dust and the elements out.
The headphones do have audio prompts in them, pressing the power button and they will say ‘power on’ or ‘power off’. It’s a female computerized sounding voice but not bad, it’s clear and you can understand it.
I tested these with my Samsung Galaxy S6 Android phone.
For pairing you long press the power button and it will say ‘power on, ready to pair Bluetooth, pin code is 0000’ and then the LED will start blinking red and blue. Once connected to your device it will say ‘connected’ and you’re ready to go.
On my Android phone the multimedia controls all worked as they should I could play/pause, change the volume and skip tracks.
The audio is excellent, they are a bit bass heavy and they actually vibrate a bit with bass heavy music but there’s very little distortion in the music.
The headphones can get very loud but they aren’t great at blocking out sounds from the outside.
I used these wired as well connected to my computer while watching Netflix and I could still hear my kids and what movies they were watching and the games they were playing so there’s not really much noise cancellation in these at all sadly
The sound is very clear both wired and over Bluetooth, no issues there at all really. The sound is excellent really, there’s good treble and quit a bit of bass, there’s just a bit of overemphasis on the bass I think, or at least in my opinion. Bass is nice yes but I like it in moderate amounts.
Conclusion
All in all the Audsom M05 headphones are well worth it, the sounds quality is excellent really and they do seem well made.
The included carrying bag is nice and it’s good that they even included a 3.5mm audio cable for you to use these wired.
The bass is a bit heavy, but that’s just my personal preference I think. The music do not get distorted at high volume levels even with the heavy bass thankfully.
The lack of noise cancellation might put some people off, but just turn the volume up a little bit and it solves that problem. Seriously though, noise cancellation could be better.
For the price I think these are worth it, the build quality is great and I like the controls right there on the earpieces and they are very comfortable to wear for long periods of time.
