My wife loves Unicorns so when I get the chance to review anything that’s a Unicorn I’ll take it, but it’s also an LED light which I like to review as well. I’ve seen these 3D type lights and have been curious about them so I just had to review one. The light is basically a base with touch sensor on it and a sheet of acrylic with a Unicorn engraved on it that sits in the base. The light can be powered by AAA batteries or over USB with the included cable. It’s a neat product for sure, read on to learn more…

The Review
Let’s start out with a video unboxing but it’s also a review as well as I demo the light in the video:
The Whatook Unicorn lamp comes packaged in a black box with label on it, inside you’ll find styrofoam packaging protecting everything.
Once you get everything unpacked you’ll find a micro USB cable, base, instructions and a sheet of clear acrylic wrapped in a thin layer of styrofoam. The base has a power symbol on it which is actually a touch sensor that turns the light on and off and cycles between the color modes. The micro USB cable is used for power but the lamp can also be powered with three AAA batteries as well. (I should note the specs listed above are wrong in saying AA batteries)
The Unicorn is etched on a piece of acrylic and it’s covered in plastic to prevent damage during shipping. It has a squared section at the bottom that fits into the base and the light travels up through it.
The LEDs light up in seven colors, red, green, blue, yellow, cyan, pink and white and they make for a very nice presentation. It does have a 3D look to it if you view it from the correct angle.
Those are the single color modes, but there’s also a color changing mode as well which I demonstrated in the video above that just cycles through all of the colors.
Conclusion
The Whatook 3D Unicorn LED light is neat for sure, it makes a nice presentation and any Unicorn lover will be happy with it.
The light itself is not very bright, but it’s not supposed to be, it’s just bright enough to highlight the Unicorn engraving and it does that perfectly, it really does look 3D when viewed from the correct angle.
I very much like the fact that it can be powered by USB or by standard batteries, it’s nice to have choices.
Pros:
+Dual power
+Easy to use
+Looks nice
Cons:
-None that I can find
