Lights, I like lights, especially LEDs and they’re just become very common and the price has dropped a lot on them and I think they’re really useful for all sorts of purposes. Up for review today I’ve got an LED tap style light from a company called Zoekim. The light has six LEDs in it, but there are three warm yellow and three natural white which can be used separately or together. For my uses the light is fine, it works good and it’s bright. The Review
Let’s start with a video unboxing and then move on:
The packaging for the Zoekim LED light is just a brown box with black lettering on it. The back of the box has the instructions for use so make sure you keep the box for reference.
Inside of the box you’ll find the light packed securely in stryofoam and alongside it is a bag with a round of double sided tape and three screws on the side. You can mount the light with either the tape or the screws. There are no instructions included as they are on the outside of the box.
The LED light is round shaped and the one I got for review is a copper color but it really looks like wood, at least to me it does. There are six LEDs in the light but they are combined colors, three are bright white and three are soft yellow. You can turn on just the white ones, just the yellow ones or both at the same time. The light operates by tapping it, the clear cover over the LEDs is the switch essentially. The light is 3.5 inches in diameter and it’s made of plastic but it looks and feels well made.
The base of the light is where the batteries go, it uses three AAA batteries for power and you just twist the base to remove it. The base is also the mounting plate to attach the light where you need it.
It’s funny to me but right before I got this for review my wife was asking me for a light for under her computer desk for her computer as it’s a bit too dark down there so that’s where I put this light. I mounted the light with the included screws as we wanted it to be permanent, the desk is wood so it was easy to install, the screws went right in and the light mounted with no issues. I like the fact that the light can be easily removed while the mounted section stays there, you just twist and it comes off and then twist it back on.
Conclusion
In my opinion the Zoekim LED tap light is a very useful product, my wife likes it, it’s exactly what she wanted and needed for more light under her desk.
The light is small and it could even be portable if you want it to be. The light does have mounting options for permanent and semi-permanent and you don’t have to remove the mount to change the batteries.
The batteries should last about 40 hours which is fine by me, for our uses I’m sure the batteries will last even longer than that.
I do like the fact that you can switch the LED colors or use all of them for a very bright light.
All in all I’m happy with the Zoekim LED light and so is my wife.

+Well made
