The Review
Let’s start with a video unboxing and mini-review and then move on:
The clock comes packaged well in a sturdy and colorful box, inside you’ll find the clock wrapped in bubble wrap, a USB cable for power and a user guide.
The clock is rectangular in shape with rounded corners and the front is very glossy. It’s 6 inches wide and about 3.75 inches tall and 1.5 inches thick at the widest part of the base where the stand is.
On the top is a rectangular button labeled ‘light/snooze’ which activates the backlight and snoozes the alarm.
The back of the clock has six buttons for modes and the setting of the clock along with a button for activating and deactivating the sound activation function. There’s also a button labeled max/min to show you the maximum and minimum temperatures and humidity. The clock uses three AAA batteries or it can be power by USB via the cable and small jack located to the bottom right of the back of the clock. There’s also a small speaker to the left that emits the alarm sound. The stand is integrated into the clock base back.
The display is very dim when the backlight is not on, in the dark you can’t see it at all but in bright light you can just see it but the glossy screen can make it hard to see.
With the backlight on the screen is colorful and look nice but the screen is very glossy and depending on the angle it can reflect a lot of light and be hard to read. The display shows time, day of the week, temperature, humidity a colorful graphic of the weather and an animated graph showing the trend in temperatures.
Conclusion
I love the fact that this clock can be powered with batteries or USB which means it would be great as a clock near your computer as you can just plug it in via USB or you could power it with a portable battery pack to take it with you.
The clock seems to keep good time, about 2 weeks ago I set it to match my computer clock and it’s still the same.
The display bugs me a bit as it’s very glossy and can be hard to see, but when the backlight is off it’s almost impossible to see.
The sound activation function is nice though as in the dark you can just touch it to make it come on.
Pros:
+Looks nice
+USB or battery power
+Keeps good time
Cons:
-Very dim display without backlight
-Very glossy screen
