Yesterday I posted about the new Thecus USB 3.0 enclosure, and I mentioned about the expansion kit you could also get that includes the UBS 3.0 card. Well today they actually announced that card. The card can come in the bundle with the D0204 or you can buy it alone. It also works in some of the NAS boxes that Thecus offers as well to add USB 3.0 functionality to them, I’ve always wondered what that expansion slot was going to be used for on them, and now we know!
With transfer speeds of up to 5 Gbps, USB 3.0 marks a new standard in high-speed connectivity. Today, storage innovator Thecus® Technology is pleased to announce a new product in its ever-expanding lineup of products for the digital lifestyle – the CU30N. Sporting two USB 3.0 ports and full backward compatibility with USB 2.0 and 1.1 standards, the CU30N is the easy way to bring your computer system into the age of USB 3.0.
