SEGA of America, Inc. today announced that Yakuza 4, the epic adventure in the esteemed Yakuza series, is available on North American retail shelves today. In Yakuza 4, the streets are once again filled with conflict, as characters navigate a trying and interwoven path through the underworld in Tokyo. With an even deeper fighting system, three additional playable characters, new street chases and the largest explorable environment to date, Yakuza 4 sets a new standard for the respected series.

Kazuma Kiryu is back in a new chapter of the Yakuza series, where two seemingly unrelated murders will set off a wave of struggle and conflict between the Yakuza clans of Kamurocho. Along for the ride are three new playable characters, each with their own convictions and motives. Yakuza 4 is the largest title in the series, with uncut access to the recreated underground world of Tokyo, including hostess bars, pachinko palaces, massage parlor and karaoke bar. To draw the player further into the deep and interactive world, the living environment is populated with various, themed mini games: Video Arcades, Golf & Bowling, Batting Cages, Pool & Darts, Card Games and Table Tennis.
Yakuza 4 is available exclusively on the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and has been rated M for Mature by the ESRB. The game retails for $59.99 and will be available at all major retail outlets today.
