Pho’s 1-mile ride was increased from $7.41 to a hefty $100 for a cleaning cost for ‘bodily fluids.’ Tatum faced a $200 bill for apparently leaving a female product in the backseat. Holloway missed her ride and incurred $55 instead of the usual $10.
In all the three cases, Uber admitted misinformation and rightfully reimbursed the three users after they contacted customer service. However, had Pho fallen sick while in the backseat, a $100-$200 cost would have sufficed as per the Uber terms of agreement.
