I hate the term fanny pack, it brings back memories of the 90’s or was it the 80’s when they were popular? I don’t know, I just know they were a bad fashion statement, but those bags do have a use but not the way they were used back then for sure. Fanny packs have moved to be an outdoor product and I think that’s where they below, for running ,hiking, camping etc as they can be useful for short trips where you need to travel light. Today for review I’ve got a bag form a company called Bridger Supply and it’s sort of a fanny pack, but it’s a better version, more utility than fashion statement. The bag is water resistant and it has plenty of pockets and even spaces for water bottles to make sure you stay hydrated. It’s a decent product, read on to learn more…
Specifications and Features
The bag is fairly large as it has a nine inch main compartment and it’s made of a water resistant nylon. It does seem fairly well made overall.
The belt is held together with a nice sturdy plastic clasp and it’s adjustable to fit most people of all shapes and sizes.
On the back is a small handle so you can just grab and go.
On the right and left side you’ll find plastic rings that go with the strap that you’ll find inside of the main compartment of the bag. The strap is adjustable as well. The sides also have spaces for water bottle, each side does, they’re mesh pockets with elastic on them and an adjustable belt on each of them.
There are two pockets on the front section, a smaller one and a larger one. The main compartment is nice and large, about the size of the whole bag really and inside is a smaller zippered pocket.
My wife likes these types of bags so I gave it to her to use and she’s very happy with it, she very much likes the strap and was kind of excited that it had a strap.
Conclusion
The Bridger Supply sports bag is very well made, it is rugged and durable and it’s water resistant but best of all it’s got plenty of pocket for all of your stuff to make sure you’ve got what you need for a day trip.
I wouldn’t call it a fanny pack though, I just hate that term, not sure what to call it but it’s not a fanny pack, it’s much more than that.
I can’t find anything wrong with it at all, it is what it is and it’s fine at what it is.
Pros:
+Water resistant
+Plenty of room
+Includes shoulder strap
Cons:
-None that I know of
