Today I’ve got a quick review for you today of a product that I think is very useful, it’s a dual USB port charger from a company called +Lifeguard. The charger features two USB ports, one is a fast charger and the second on is a standard USB port. The Review

The packaging for the +Lifeguard dual USB charger is just a small box. On the back of the box you’ll find a nice diagram pointing out all the parts of the charger.

 

 

Once you get the box unpacked you won’t find much, no instructions, just the charger in a zip style bag. Instructions aren’t needed though, it’s simple to use, truly plug and play.

 

The charger is small at about 2 1/2 inches long and less than an inch in diameter. The top has the +Lifeguard logo and the bottom has the certifications. The charger seems very well made to me, very sturdy and I like the knurled grip around the end of it making it easy to remove.

 

 

On the end you’ll find two USB ports. The top port is what they call the IQ port which is meant to charge your devices faster than a standard USB port. The bottom USB port is just a standard one like you’d find on any charger of this style.

 

For testing I plugged it into the power jack in my car, very simple to do. When you plug it in the ports will light up a nice blue color making it very easy to see the ports in the dark.

 

I charged my HTC One phone from both ports on different days and yes it does seem to charge faster with the IQ port.

 

 

 

Conclusion

The +Lifeguard Dual USB charger is a great little device, one that I will be keeping in my car as it’s just perfect really.

There’s not much more to say about it, it’s well made and I love the blue LEDs in the USB ports.

The IQ port works as advertised, no issues there, it’s faster than the normal USB port which is great in my opinion.
