Conclusion
The MeCam seems to be aimed at party people or young people as the quality isn’t that good. I think it’s more of a novelty than anything as the videos and pictures it takes aren’t what I personally would want to save as a cherished memory. I think that it might be great for kids but the safety pin has to go but you can just use the neck strap.
My phone has a better camera than the MeCam does and I think most smartphones and even feature phones today do.
The video quality in daylight isn’t bad but at nighttime or low light it’s horrible really.
Still pictures are not good either, especially those taken indoors.
The camera just doesn’t work well well in low light situations, it needs a lot of light to take good pictures.
As a novelty camera sure, but as something to record your memories on, I don’t think so.
Pros:
+Relatively inexpensive
+Small and portable
+Can’t tell it’s a camera really unless you look closely
+Expandable storage
+Built-in battery charges over USB
Cons:
-Horrible still pictures
-Bad color reproduction
-Safety pin?
-Safety doesn’t really secure it in place
-Shaky camera
-Not good at close ups
-Not good in low light
-Non standard USB connector
-Limited range on microphone
