Today for review I’ve got one for the home and garden category and it’s two hoses actually, but these aren’t just any hoses they’re expandable hoses. The 50 foot hose I have starts out at only 17 feet in length but when you fill it up it expands to 50 feet. The 75 foot hose I have starts out at 25 feet and when you fill it up it expands to 75 feet of course. These are from a company called Ohuhu and they’ve included a handy hanger and a sprayer nozzle for you. Read on to learn more…

The Review
Let’s start with a video unboxing or video tour of the product:
There are two hoses here, one is 50 foot and one is 75 foot, the packaging for both is the same, a brown both with the hoses inside of it wrapped in plastic.
Once you get everything unpacked and unwrapped you’ll find the hose, hanger, instructions and spray nozzle.
The hose is covered with what looks like a pleated fabric when it’s not expanded and on both ends you’ll find the couplings to attach it to your faucet and to attach the included spray nozzle. The 50 foot version is only 17 feet long when not expanded, the 75 foot version is 25 feet when no expanded so both of them don’t take up much space when you’re not using them.
In the included spray nozzle matches the hose coloring and it can be adjusted to eight different spray patterns like shower, flat, mist or angle. The handle does have a lock on it so you can lock it to keep the water flowing so you don’t have to keep holding it.
Ohuhu does include a hanger so you can store the hose when not in use. The hanger goes over your faucet and just hangs there basically. Simple and easy to use, but it keeps your hose out of the way.
The front of the hanger has a semi-circle that’s used for storing the sprayer. I wasn’t too sure about the hanger hanging off of the water pipe but the hose, when empty, is very lightweight and I don’t think it should be an issue honestly.
The instructions say to slowly fill the hose to expand it the first time, and I did that, have to be careful about these things as I’ve never used one of these hoses before.
When you fill it up it really expands and gets stiff and the pleating becomes smooth.
To un-expand the hose you need to let the water back out. When you turn the water off at the faucet it’s still in the hose of course so you need to hold the nozzle open to let the water out. The hose actually pushes all the water out as it shrinks back down.
The whole process is kind of neat and I was surprised by how the hose pushes the water out and shrinks back down to the original size.
Conclusion
The Ohuhu hoses are certainly interesting products that can comes in handy in anyone’s yard or garden for watering the lawn or washing your car.
They expand and contract easily and quickly and overall they do feel well made.
I can’t really test the longevity of them, so I’m not sure how long they’ll last honestly but these are supposedly the improved versions of these hoses making them more durable and stronger. Only time will tell and maybe I’ll edit this review if something happens in the meantime.
All in all I like these hoses, they’re not bad products at all, so far so good with them.
