The Review

Let’s start with the video unboxing and move on, also at the end of the video you’ll find testing the light.

The packaging for the Olight Odin Mini flashlight is very nice and sturdy, it’s held closed with dual magnets. On the back of the box you’ll find the specs and features listed and when you open the box you’ll see basic instructions on how to use the light.

Opening the lid you’re greeted with the Odin Mini nestled in foam for safety, underneath is a cardboard cover over top of the rest of the contents in the box.

Once you get everything unpacked you’ll see the light, user manual, remote switch, charging cable, and mounting parts. The flashlight charges via USB and magnetic charging port that attaches to the back of the flashlight.

The remote switch is interesting in that it’s not only magnetic but it has a twisting switch lock to attach it to the flashlight.

The Odin Mini is a very nice looking flashlight for sure, it’s well made of aluminum alloy, it’s about 6 oz in weight and 4.5 inches long. On the top of the light you’ll see the mount to attach it to your weapon.

The back of the Odin Mini is the power button, just a simple push button. The back is also the battery cover, it just screws off and on like you would expect. Inside is the rechargeable battery made special for the Odin Mini, the battery in an 18500 model, 3.6v at 2040mah and should last about 5 hours on low.

The front of the Odin Mini is of course the LED which can produce 1250 lumens on high with a beam distance of almost 800 feet.

Olight includes mounting hardware and tools to get you going, a hex key and screws. The mount is slightly canted at an angle and it has a twist lock on it to attach the flashlight making it easy to put on and and take off as needed.

We decided to mount the Odin Mini to a Sig Sauer AR-15 rifle, my son got to work and got in done in a few minutes with no problems

Here’s multiple pictures of the Odin Mini and the remote switch installed on the AR-15:

If you watched the video you would have seen the testing of the light in the dark towards the end, it’s very bright and the switch works well and it’s easy to use.

Here’s a quote from my son Nick about the Odin Mini: “it’s super easy to take back off since I can’t have it on when I put it back in the case. The magnets on the cord are pretty cool too, never would have thought of that.”

Conclusion

The Olight Odin Mini is a very impressive flashlight, it’s very bright, easy to install and easy to use.

The light is rechargeable via USB which is very handy as pretty much everything is charged over USB. The rechargeable battery can provide plenty of power to the Odin Mini.

The Odin Mini can be installed on pretty much any weapon platform thanks to the innovative and easy to use mounting system. The system allows you to attach and detach the light easily and quickly as needed.

The flashlight is very bright and can easily light up a whole room or any area that you need to see everything in any type of situation.

As shown we installed the Odin Mini on the Sig Sauer AR-15 and my son is very happy with it, he likes it a lot and loves the way it attaches to the remote switch and of course how bright the light is.
