Let’s start with a video tour and then move on:
The bag ships in a plastic bag and then the bag is in a cloth bag for protection during shipping. Not a big issue as far as packing, it’s just a cloth bag so it doesn’t need any real protection I would think so it’s fine as is.
The OXA sling backpack is made of a canvas material on the outside and a cotton inside and it’s about 11 by 9 inches in dimensions and about 2.5 inches thick when empty. The bag is done in a vintage style and I think it looks nice, not sure if it’s really vintage looking but I do like the looks of it. On the front of the bag is small leather tag with the OXA logo on it. It’s a sling style backpack or bag so that means it only has one strap on it that is centered on the top and then off centered on the bottom back so you can wear it across your chest.
The sling strap is attached with a fairy heavy metal spring style clip and there are two places to attach the clip to, the left or right side of the bag. Which side you pick is up to you, left handed or right handed basically which I think is a nice choice.
The actual sling strap is lightly padded, the inner surface is a mesh material and it seems more than sturdy enough to handle the bag when full. The strap is adjustable from about 12 inches to 34 inches so it should fit most people surely. Attached to the strap is also a plastic buckle or clip that’s adjustable, the small strap goes over top from the front of the bag to the back essentially locking the main compartment in a way, sort of.
On the front of the bag are two rather large zippered pockets. The smaller one is on the top and it’s about 7 inches by 4 inches and expandable to about an inch and it also has a reinforced hole in it so you can pass your headphones through. The bottom pocket is about 7 inches by 6 inches and it can also expand to about 1.5 inches.
The main compartment zippers open about two-thirds of the way down the bag allowing easy access to what’s inside and it has two zippers. When you open the bag front half has four small pockets and one large one the size of the four combined basically. On the bag of the main compartment is another pocket that’s about 8 inches by 8 inches and behind that is a smaller zippered pocket that measures about 4 by 7 inches. The larger pocket should easily accommodate tablets up to 8 inches in size and the back of the bag is lightly padded for protection and comfort. The inner compartment of the bag is the same size as the bag itself and can expand up to about 4 inches so you can fit quite a bit of stuff in there if need be I would think.
The OXA sling backpack is very nicely made, it looks great and it seems like it should last a while as it’s made of a sturdy canvas material.
The backpack has enough pockets for all your stuff I would think of varying sizes for whatever you’ll be taking with you.
It’s a simple bag yes, but it’s not, it’s deceptively large really, it looks small but it can expand to fit a lot of stuff.
+Well made bag
+Several pockets for your stuff
