Today for review I’ve got another product from KooPower and it’s another LED candle, yes I’ve reviewed a few of these, and I like them, this one though is very much different than the others I’ve reviewed before as it’s a votive or tea light style candle. The candle is small and it’s powered by three AAA batteries which should last about 120 hours. The light has two modes, flickering or solid and it really does look like a real candle in the dark. Specifications and Features
The light is smaller than I thought, for some reason I just thought it was larger, but it’s a cube at 2.4 x 2.4 x 2.4 inches in dimensions. It’s mostly clear with a rounded frosted section in the center where the LED is and then a white base inside of the clear acrylic. It’s not perfectly square, it has beveled edges on all four corners, it looks and feels very well made.
On the bottom you’ll find the battery compartment where you’ll need to put three AAA batteries for power which aren’t included. There are two switches, one for power or on/off and one for light and flash. According to the specs the batteries should last about 120 hours, which is pretty good in my opinion.
The LED is located in the center of the light and it can be powered on solid or flickering which makes it look like a real candle. In the dark it very much look like a candle, but it doesn’t give off much light at all, but then again it’s supposed to be a tea light which real ones aren’t that bright so I guess this works.
The light has a tip over switch built into it but honestly I’m not sure why as it’s not like it’s going to catch fire, it’s not a real flame, but whatever. The tip over switch is overly sensitive in my opinion, you can just shake it and it will turn off.
Conclusion
The KooPower flickering LED candle is a very nice product that looks great and seems very well made overall.
The light looks very real in the dark and it can certainly add ambience to any room. The light features two modes for solid and one for blinking or flickering that give it a real candle look.
The light has a tip over switch inside of it but it’s overly sensitive, you can just bump it and it will turn off, other than that I can’t find anything wrong with it.
Pros:
+Very well made
+Looks nice
+Good battery life
Cons:
-Tip over switch is overly sensitive
