Up for review today I’ve got a small sized messenger bag from OXA, it’s in a vintage style and it’s made of canvas so it’s fairly sturdy and well made. The bag is about 10 inches by 11 inches in dimensions and you can easily take your tablet and more with your as it has plenty of pockets as well. Read on to learn more..

The Review
Let’s start with a video tour and then move on:
The bag comes packaged in a plastic bag and then a cloth bag inside to protect the bag. I like these cloth bags actually as you can use them for other stuff, but anyway, it’s packaged well, it’s just a bag after all, not exactly fragile.
The bag is made of canvas on the outside with cotton on the inside and it feels and looks nicely made, there’s a small leather tag on the front with the OXA logo there. The dimensions without the strap are about 10 inches by 11 inches and it’s about 3 inches thick when empty but the main compartment can expand to about 4.5 inches and then there’s another section that can expand to about one inch thick. The strap is about 1.5 inches wide and it’s adjustable from about 27 inches up to 53 inches, the strap is flexible so the measurements are approximate but it should be able to accommodate most any body shape or size. There is one small pocket on each side of the bag that are about 4.5 by 3 inches in dimensions, I found I could fit my Samsung Galaxy S6 in the pockets but it’s a very tight fit. I’m not sure what these little pockets can really be used for though as normally they would be for a water bottle but they won’t fit in these pockets. The zippers are metal, at least the pulls are, and they have faux leather pull tabs on them to grab them easier. The bag also has a handle on the top which is sturdy and fairly thick at about 1.25 inches wide and it’s reinforced by a leather strip across the top of it.
The front of the bag is a flap actually and it has a small zippered pocket that’s about 7 by 7 inches in dimensions.
The front flap is secured by velcro which opens to reveal a zippered section with a hole so you can pass a headphone cable through. The compartment unzips to reveal a pencil pocket and eight credit card sized pockets along with a metal ring so you could maybe attach your keys to it. The pocket itself is about 8 by 7 inches and it can expand to about 1 inch thick, but remember it’s cloth so there is give and flexibility to it.
The zipper for the mina pocket is located on the outside of the bag, with the flap closed, and it has a mesh bag inside that’s actually not attached expect for just the top and it’s about 5 x 7 inches in dimensions. On the back of the main compartment is a small zippered pocket that’s about 4 x 6.5 inches in size. The actual main compartment is lightly padded and it’s about 10 x 9 inches in size and it can expand to about 3 inches. You can easily fit a tablet inside or maybe a small laptop or netbook, or of course you could put books and papers and such in there too.
The back of the bag has another smaller zippered pocket at about 8 x 7.5 inches in dimensions. The back has another large pocket that is basically the whole back of the bag at about 10 x 9 inches which could fit a tablet as well.
Conclusion
I have two other OXA bags and I like them a lot, they’re inexpensive but yet they look nice and they’re well made, this one is no different.
It’s a messenger bag, but it’s a small messenger bag, more for taking on a day trip to work maybe, or just out and about. Every other messenger bag I’ve seen and own is about twice the size of this bag, but that’s not a bad thing as there are times my bag is mostly empty so one of this size can work out well of those days of traveling light.
The bag is made of canvas and the inside is a soft cotton material that should no scratch your tablet or laptop when you put it in.
The strap is heavy duty and it’s very adjustable from small up to very large and it’s permanently attached. Yes I know some people might want to be able to remove the strap, but personally I like it better when the strap is attached, it’s more of a secure system that way in my opinion.
Overall I like this bag, it’s well made and I like the looks of I and it has plenty of pockets for all my stuff.
