So we’re back to the kitchen for today’s review with a pair of cups. These are from a company called Pratico Outdoors and they’re called the Clean Steel cups. Cups might not be the most exciting thing out there, but these are different. They’re very nice looking and they are rugged and durable, you can take them with you camping or hiking and being stainless steel they’ll last for along time surely. These aren’t just for outdoors though, these look nice enough to use around the house, and I’ve come to like them a lot. The Review
Let’s start with a quick video:
The cups come shipped in an attractive looking box and inside you’ll find the cups individually wrapped in plastic for protection.
I have to admit, these are some very nice looking cups. The cups only weigh about 3.3 ounces each and they seem thin, but they really are sturdy. I tried to squeeze the cups and they really don’t give at all.
The cups are five inches tall and 3.5 inches at the top or the opening where you put your drink in or drink from. The cups are made from 18/8 food grad stainless steel so they’re safe to drink from.
The cups have a faint logo on them towards the bottom and that’s all the markings you’ll find on them. They have a nice clean look. The cups are dishwasher safe and they’re stackable so they’ll save space in your kitchen or pack if you take them with you.
The bottom is 2.2 inches across which is wide enough to keep them stable and not fall over and spill your drink.
For testing I drank out of them. They are metal so they do conduct heat and cold. I was a bit worried as it’s warm and cold drinks do make the cups sweat and I was thinking they might be slippery but they aren’t actually. The cups have a very slight texture to them making for a good grip.
The cups hold 16oz of fluid which is perfect for a single 12oz can of soda pop with a little room to spare so you don’t overflow and spill your drink.
Conclusion
What can I say about these cups, they’re basic and utilitarian but they’ve really nice and I do like them a lot.
They’re cups, not really exciting, but still very useful.
These cups are great for me as I tend to drop things and being stainless steel they won’t break when I drop them. Sure I’ll have a mess to clean up but the cup will be intact.
I have kids and they drop stuff as well, but that’s just what kids do and these won’t break when they do drop them.
Being stainless steel they don’t impart any flavor or odors to your drinks like a plastic cup would. Plastic cups sometimes have a funky smell to them, these don’t, and plastic cups aren’t durable or rugged and they’re not good for the environment either. These should last many years, just wash and reuse over and over again.
These would be great to take camping or hiking or any outdoor activity, just toss them in with your other stuff and they’ll be fine as they’re rugged and durable.
Not much more to say really, they’re great cups for the home or for outdoors.
