We’re going back to the kitchen for today’s review with a combination julienne and vegetable peeler from a company called Pridebit. I’ve never owned a tool to julienne vegetables as I’ve always done it by hand as that’s what most chef’s do, but I was really curious to test it out and it works well. The peeler side works great too, it’s extremely sharp and cut quickly and easily. This product is well made and best of all it’s inexpensive, so read on to learn more…
Let’s start with a video unboxing for you:
The peeler is made of stainless steel and it’s about 7.2 x 3.2 x 0.8 inches and weighs about an ounce. The peeler feels very well made and of coruse it’s dishwasher safe. The cleaning brush is just your basic nylon brush but it’s very thin to fit down inside of the blades.
There are two sides to the blade, one side is a peeler for peeling vegetables and fruits and it’s very sharp.
The second side is the julienne blade where you’ll find a row or ‘teeth’ and a blade similar to the peeler side.
Both sides pivot to contour to the fruit or vegetable you’re working on making it easier and quicker.
Specifications and Features
The Julienne blade worked very well making some nice julienne cucumbers for my salad, they kind of look more like spaghetti, but they tasted really good, and it was something different.
I ended up making a nice salad with sautéed chicken, julienne cucumbers, lettuce, cheese and eggs. Yes I could have used a little more color in there like some tomatoes, but I didn’t have any, but it still tasted really good.
I also tested the peeler out on an apple so here’s a quick video for you:
