Conclusion
If you are a moderate to heavy user of your iPhone 5 during the course of the day then a battery case such as the PowerSkin model is a necessity more than a luxury. This case is lightweight and only adds a small amount of bulk to the iPhone 5. It works well as an external battery.
The case portion could definitely be improved as it barely protects the screen/face of the iPhone 5. Aesthetically it is not the most elegant looking case and only comes in black at this time.
A few other issues may dissuade buyers such as the need for a headphone extender and the lower amperage of the battery as compared to similarly priced case batteries on the market.
That being said, for those looking for an all in one solution then the PowerSkin battery case for iPhone 5 is still a good option.
Pros:
+Adds 70% more battery life
+Combines case and external battery
+Built in power switch
+Has charge indicator LEDs
Cons:
-Bulky
-Dust magnet
-Require headphone adapter
-Changes iPhone 5 aesthetic
