It’s been a while since I’ve looked at any kitchen related items but it was about time for a review as I need to replace one of my cutting boards. I like the flexible style cutting boards, they’re just easier and more useful, but gabo asked me to review theirs and I’m happy with it overall. It’s a bit smaller than my others but not much, I’ve learned to work with it. The butting board is made of TPU material and it’s knife friendly and antimicrobial but best of all is that it’s flexible. Read on to learn more…
Specifications and Features
I got the green one for review but there are other colors available. The board isn’t rectangular like others, it’s rounded and has handles on the sides along with a hole to hang it up if you want to. The board is 15.6” x 10.7” x 0.09” and it’s made of TPU material making it flexible and durable.
The board does have a juice groove all around the outside but I’ve never really understood the point of them. Yes they collect juice and all that but depending what you’re doing the juice groove sometimes isn’t enough to hold all the juices. Most of the time I use a damp towel under my cutting board as it helps keep the board from moving and collects any juice that may collect making a mess on the counter.
So for testing I used it in my food preparations and it works fine for cutting, no complaints at all about that, I do wish is was just a bit larger though.
So that was a quick review, but it’s a simple but good and useful product.
If you’re looking for a new cutting board that I can recommend the gabo TPU cutting board as it’s well made and inexpensive.
-A bit small for me personally
