Let’s start with a quick video for you and then continue on from there:
The gloves and the tongs are packaged separately. The gloves come in a plastic bag with a cardboard hang tag the tongs are just shrink wrapped basically.
The included tongs are decent enough, they’re not really sturdy like others but they are included as a free bonus. These would be fine for light things like salads but they seem rather thin to be used for heavier things like meats.
The tongs do have a sliding lock mechanism at the top and a hole to hang them if you want to.
The gloves are made of a heavy silicone and they do have holes on the side so you can hang them up and keep them out of the way. They are waterproof and dishwasher safe so when you’re done making dinner you can toss them in to be washed with the rest of the dishes. The gloves are covered with little bumps that, upon closer inspection, are little hearts, or at least that’s what they look like to me. The gloves can withstand heat up to 425F so you can use them for most all of your cooking needs and they’re also slip resistant so you can keep a good grip on the pots, pans and food.
Putting the glove on was weird the first time, they’re a thick silicone so they’re kind of stiff, and the size is a bit on the large side.
For testing I used them to take things out of the oven and to check the temps while cooking. I’m happy to report I got no burns while wearing the gloves and I really didn’t feel any heat at all through them.
For the price I like these a lot, they work as advertised, they keep the heat away and they’re non-slip so you shouldn’t drop anything while wearing them.
The only issue I really have with the gloves is that they’re large, the size seems to be really big. This shouldn’t be a problem for most guys I would think, but women tend to have smaller hands and these would be really big on them.
The tongs aren’t bad, a nice free bonus, but just don’t expect anything thick and of high quality. For light jobs like salads and such these tongs would be fine.
