I’ve got a quick review for you of one of my new favorite product categories, home and bath, but specifically soap. Yes soap, yes it might be weird, but soap is important and soap can do many different things. Today I have a Dead Sea Mud handmade bar of soap with coconut oil but it also has other things as well and it’s from Soap Club. The soap is interesting for sure, it has a nice odor to it and it seems to work well. Read on to learn more…

Let’s start with a quick video, a product tour really:
The bar of soap ships in an attractive looking box, it’s bright and colorful and there’s even a window on it so you can see the bar of soap.
The back of the box has the ingredients listed for you which include olive oil, coconut oil, soybean oil, hemp oil, organic shea butter, sodium hydroxide, water and a fragrance blend. The bar is handmade with natural ingredients according to the specs.
The bar of soap weighs in at 5 ounces and it has the Soap Club logo on the front of it. The bar is 3” x 3” x1” in dimensions. The scent is not unpleasant but it’s not what I would call pleasant either. My kids liked it and I didn’t mind the scent. The scent is hard to describe in words really, you can smell the coconut yes but it’s not overpowering for sure. It foams up nicely on a rag and it does turn your rag black but it washes out and doesn’t stain it.
I like this soap a lot, yes it’s on the expensive side at $10 per bar and sadly I just can’t afford that every week as this bar only lasted us for one week. I guess I could buy it for myself and hide it, but that would just be a hassle in the morning.
The soap has a nice scent to it and it seems to clean well.
The bar doesn’t seem to last long though, we only got a week out of one bar and I noticed that as it gets thinner and worn away it breaks and crumbles.
It’s not bad soap for sure, just wish it didn’t cost so much….
+Handmade and natural
-Doesn’t seem to last long
-Might be considered expensive
-Breaks apart once it gets smaller and thinner
